Here above is a 'Prezi' I have created which highlights the different forms and conventions such as costumes within the genre of indie which are quite common. The reason I chose to look into different artists is to gain inspiration of what I can take on board from some of the artists which will be shown from how my actor is presented in my music video.

Make-up Inspirations
Red lipstick
In order to keep my music video conventional to the artist I will using similar make-up such as the red lipstick in my video. I really like how this artist uses such subtle make-up such as the foundation and blush yet with a red lip which stands out and making her look more seductive which will draw in a male audience, and this also channels the theory of 'Male Gaze'. This also links in nicely with my video concept, the title being 'Serial Killer' signifying blood, which is associated with the colour red will be highlighted from the lipstick.
Research Into Costume
Whilst conducting research in music video's I acknowledge that costume is a key aspect within music videos. Due to this having to appeal to an target audience, artist's either follow the latest trends or become trends setters, either way it is very important for the artist to appeal to a wide range audience. This made me look into additional research into my chosen artist which gave me inspiration for my music video.
Looking at Lana Del Rey's style it is very simple and vintage, which I will want to keep to meet the needs of my artist keeping it conventional, as the person I am using may not look like the artist, but is just as striking and draws you in. With this being said sticking to the style of Lana Del Rey would signify the importance of being conventional.
Lana Del Rey said style was never her forte, explaining, "It wasn't something I set out to
create. Personally, I keep things pretty simple. I love making music. The rest I
don't really think about."
As you can see this outfit is quite simple, and casual which many people could relate to this as you see many young females wearing outfits like this, which shows many girl would look up to her and this would bring in audience.
This images shows how shorts, converses and white tee's are very common
Likewise other artists such as Rihanna wears similar clothing, which sets trends. Also the person I am using for my video, looks like the Rihanna which goes in hand with the style.
As you can see Chisara Duru who will be starring in my video has very similar
to Lana Del Rey and Rihanna which shows she would fit in with the type of genre and style of this video, as it comes naturally to her.
These are images from a few clips from her videos, which shows her style is still quite simple
and with a mix of urban meets vintage thrill of it.
With that in mind, because my video is very sinister and creates a dark atmosphere, I will use the colour black like seen in these images to create that same effort. Also by staying true to the artist and incoprating with the denim shorts, and leather jacket will still create the effect.
Production Schedule
Creating a Production Schedule was ideally important for me, as it meant that I would be organised and know when to film and so forth. I choice the particular date 19/01/13 as myself and my actress will be both free on that particular day, also from checking the weather forecast showed that was going to be a dry day meaning the weather would not effect my filming.
Ideally I was shooting it at Finsbury park but the location was changed, I felt I wanted a more daunting look for my video, which is why I later changed the location to the woods in Strafford.

Animatic - Serial Killer
Animatic
This is a film of the series shot i drew on my storyboard, although not being a 'artist as such' (as you can see through the images) this is a rough outline of the different shots I will be doing during shooting my video.
This may alter but having said, doing an animatic was vital as it outlines the key clips I will be doing; also its a guideline which is essential to have so I will have everything in order.
Storyboard
This is my StoryBoard, which was an effective way to make sure I was on task with the type of shots, which were required.
Here is just drawings which capture my concepts in a animated way. It was useful as it allowed me to distinguish which particular shots I will use for each shot. It also allowed me to think critically on what particular parts of the song should be lip-synced etc.
Here are shots I found essential in which I will want to use when filming, such as mid-shots,
extreme close ups of the mouth - highlighting the mysterious nature of the song.
As I realised whilst conducting this particular task, I used a lot of extreme close ups, which I find
will be highly important - also a way of selling the artist. I also have shots of the body,
which I will use a panning shot - selling the artist as well as the costume.
I also wanted to do side on shots, dancing shots etc which I think will look visually interesting when bringing the images to life when my filming is produced.
