Inspiration for our final outcome of our thriller opening
By looking at the opening of the film 'The devil inside' the implementation of the ellipses "..." gave it the suspense of the phone call; however my group and I used this to illustrate that time has past for example the picture above of one of the prints screen showing "later that evening..." Indicated to the audience time has passed; the expression of the ellipses creates suspense which is needed for thriller movie's as it creates tension.
By looking at the trailer of "The woman in black" it shows the title of the film which inspired us to use the Perry Gothic font; this is because it creates a creepy atmosphere about it which is usually one of the common codes and conventions seen through thriller movies.
the transition if the photo's of it being black and white then it being in colour show the audience it is know in the present of Scarlett's pregnancy; whereas the black and white footage is of her finding out she is in fact pregnant.

Feedback on Thriller Opening
By uploading my groups 2 minute opening thriller "The Unspoken Truth" we posted it on various different sites such as facebook, twitter etc to get feedback
Here's some of the comments:
Overall the feedback we got was very positive, it was a nice indication that the audience enjoyed it and were "spooked" out as that's the effect we wanted. However there were some slight confusion and the title sequences going fast; by those comments my group and I will make the changes.
It was good posting our opening to see general feedback and by getting some constructive criticism it highlighted what we should of done to make our thriller opening more effective; which we did;

This picture shows that we changed the speed of one of the points; and as a result it was much easier to read and understandable.
