Print screens of our title sequence.

By doing the title sequence helped me understand what type of effect and why we it should be used. Because
my groups thriller is supernatural etc, with this type of text written fits with our concept.

At first it was quiet challenging creating our title sequence as it was our first time using this programme. But we then got use to it and were able to create effective title sequences.

this whole process of choosing  a font was very taxing, because we had to download a new font from a website called dafont.com, here we chose a gothic font called 'perry gothic' which is dark and cultic, but at the same time it is old- fashioned and gives off a victorian theme, which is in sync with our location.

Behind-the-scenes photos

This is Chisara as we were getting ready to film, whilst the camera's and props where getting set up
This is me, Chisara, Comfort and shaniqua as we were getting ready to shoot the last shot of the day (supernatural/nightmare scene).
And again (some harmless laughter before shooting the serious scene)

With these behind-the-scene shots it shows we did have great time filming; it was stressful at times but overall was a great experiences and a time to bond with my group. With a few hiccups here and there we still managed to create a great piece and finish shooting at a decent time.

Still images of the shooting scenes

These still shots are of the opening scene of Scarlett when she realises she is pregnant. The close up of the pregnacy test is effective as it creates tension and creates a shocking reaction from the audience.

These shots are shown before Scarlett's water breaks; the mise en scene of this scene is very calm and relaxing; the lighting creates an impact of happiness and by the costume, the bright colours indicate she is very happy at this moment (enjoying her pregnancy).

This is the last, where the scene of the supernatural/nightmare appears. The dark lighting of this shot highlights the creepy atmosphere that was happening. The close up of Scarlett's face shows her scariness and innocents.

Filming Schedule

By creating a filming schedule allowed my group to be organised and know what we needed and what we were exactly going to do when shooting.

This helped us as we knew exactly what we were suppose to do for the day and didn't forget anything; this was beneficial as by following the steps we managed to finish filming at a decent time.

Location Reports with photos

This close up of the house is going to be showing during our the opening scene when the producers name etc goes on the scene. (This represents the orphan) we are also going to put this photo in black and white to create tention. We chose this shot of the house because it creates a dramatic impact of the scary house.

SHOT OF LIVING ROOM
This shot is where we will be doing some of our scenes of our thriller; it is the shot shown when Scarlett water breaks, rocking the baby and the scene where her mother Florence breaks down the bad news. We used the living room area as it is very 'homely' but contrast the reality of what actually happens.

SHOT OF DOOR

This is the shot of the front door which is used in shot 5 when Comfort (play Scarlett) is shown when coming back from work.

SHOT OF BATHROOM

These are the pictures using during shot 1 & 2 where th pregnancy test scene and the mother walking in scene is shown. This is when you first come to contact with the two characters.

we chose this house because its victorian........ show their weathy/ old fashioned (like florence cole- old fashioned mind set)....

Animatic (unfinished)

Untitled from SMC on Vimeo.

This is our groups unfinished animatic. Unfinished in the sense that there is no music and audio, over it. we will be putting the finished one up as soon as we get our music done.

By doing the animatic task was very effective for me and my group because it gave us the chance to use premiere pro, and gave me an understanding of how to use this software and to see if all the seconds for the storyboard worked out.

This also helped us descide of what music we should use during each shot, and how long for. Overall this was very basic to do but with getting the right seconds of the shots was what we found hard at first.

By doing a production schedule helped my group maintain our time managaments within the time we were shooting. This was very useful becuause we were more aware of what time we would be doing certain shots and the type of shots we were actually doing. This also kept us up to date by setting certain targets for ourselfs; we knew when we had to complete it. At first we found hard to create this but after looking at an production scedule template it was then easy to create our owns.
